Event Terms and Conditions

All visitors and guests to the event (“Participant”) are subject to the following terms and conditions by the Event Organiser (“Event Organiser”). Entry to the event is deemed acceptance of these entry terms.

 

Registration

All Participants must complete and submit a registration form and pay the applicable ticket fee.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. It is only valid for the person whose name and email address details are listed in the registration form. All Participants acknowledge any attempt to transfer a ticket or allow another person to participate in the event under the Participant’s name without the Event Organiser’s knowledge may void any applicable insurance.

Participants consent to the conduct of identity verification checks, background security checks and any other security checks (which may include inspection of Participant’s personal property) prior to Participant’s entry or departure from the event venue.

 

Event Cancellation and Modification

The Event Organiser may change the event format, speaker line-up and other event conditions at their discretion. If that occurs, this agreement applies to the changed conditions.

 

Payment and Refunds

Each Participant acknowledges their entry fee is not refundable should they not attend, arrive late or the Event is cancelled or changed by the Event Organiser due to reasons beyond the reasonable control of the Event Organiser such as bad weather or for safety reasons.

Participants may be refused entry or removed from the event if any monies outstanding are owed to the Event Organiser during the event’s scheduled times.

 

Indemnity

Participant accepts all risks necessarily flowing from Participant’s attendance which could result in injury, loss of life and loss or damage of property. Participant releases all persons or corporations including unincorporated associations directly or indirectly with the conduct of the event from all claims demands, liability and proceedings (to the extent permitted by law) for or as a result of any loss, injury or damage suffered by Participant arising out of Participant’s participation and or attendance at the event however caused including any claim which arises due to any negligence of those or other persons and corporations and Participant hereby indemnifies those persons and corporations against all liability (including liability for their negligence and the negligence of others) for all, loss, injury or damage arising out of or connected with Participant’s participation in or attendance at the event. This release shall extend to and included
Good Bean Consultancy Pte. Ltd., and its members, directors, partners, managers, officers, agents, contractors, employees and volunteers including medical and paramedical personnel appointed for the event, the owners, licensees and occupiers of land upon
which the event or any part of it is conducted, any statutory body or local authority having control over any land upon which the event or any part of the event is conducted or which is involved directly or indirectly with the event in any manner whatsoever and promoters, sponsors and event organisers. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns.


Health and Safety

The Event Organiser reserve the right to remove any persons from the event where the Event Orgnaniser considers it necessary to do so, for health and safety and other reasons.

Each Participant acknowledges that the Event Organiser has not, nor is the Event Organiser responsible for, putting insurance in place for or on behalf of Participant while they are participating in the event. Participants understand that they may not be covered for any personal injuries, death and/or damage sustained during the event. Also, Participants acknowledge they may be able to, in their own interests and at their own expense, seek and obtain personal insurances to cover them when they are participating in the event.

Each Participant consents to receiving any medical treatment, including ambulance transportation, the Event Organiser considers desirable during or after the Event. In the event of an emergency, the Participant authorises their personal details to be shared with the appropriate parties, including, but not limited to, the Event Organiser, medical staff and the Participant’s Emergency Contact.

Safety precautions undertaken by the Event Organiser are a service to the Participant but not a guarantee of safety.

Each Participant acknowledges that they have sole responsibility for their personal possessions and athletic equipment during the Event and related activities. The Event Organiser is not liable for any damaged/lost good.

 

Privacy

Each Participant consents to, without being compensated in any way, the publication and/or use in any form of media whatsoever by the Event Organiser or event sponsors, of their name, image, statements and photographs and films of them taken by the Event Organiser or its contractors, in any context pertaining to the Event or otherwise before, during or after the Event for advertising, promotions or otherwise.

The Event Organiser may collect personal information about Participants, including the information they provide upon entry. The Event Organiser collects the information for the purpose of processing entries, providing services to Participants, and facilitating the Event Organiser’s operations, including the fulfilment of nay legal requirements.

The Event Organiser may disclose Participants’ personal information to service providers who assist the Event Organiser in running the event, however these service providers are required to comply with the Event Organiser’s Privacy Policy in how they handle Participants’ personal information and the Event Organiser’s related bodies corporate.

If the personal information provided to the Event Organiser is incomplete and/or inaccurate, the Event Organiser may be unable to process their entry and/or be unable to provide Participants with the services they are seeking.

Participants may access the personal information the Event Organiser holds about them in accordance with the Event Organiser’s privacy policy.

 

Under 18 Years

If a Participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must approve with signature the declaration printed on the entry form and sign it on their behalf. The parent/guardian is also responsible for the health and safety of their child/children/subjects of guardianship competing in the event.

 

Other conditions

Pets, except guide dogs, are not permitted.

Strollers, wheel chairs and similar devices must have appropriate safety restraints and meet Singapore Safety Standards.

Participants acknowledge they will abide by any reasonable decisions issued by the Event Organiser.
