Run for a reason

Co-attributed to Tan Wei, Charis Lim, and Wong Shi Ying

The Run For Hope was initiated in 1993 by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Regent Singapore, making it the single largest fund- raising effort in aid of cancer research here. Since 2008, the Run has been partnering the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) to raise funds for the NCC Research Fund, providing for an array of basic, translation and clinical research programmes. This yearʼs run, which took place on November 18, involved a turnout of around 10,000 runners who took on either a 3.5km or 10km scenic route in the Marina Bay area. It raised more than $400,000 to date, according to the Run For Hope website.

InHerShoes Art and Music Against Cancer is a proud supporter of the Run for Hope.
