Fuze Nights - The Social for Social Impact

Fuze Nights are a series of evenings when purpose-driven people connect with each other and new ideas. Each event is designed to allow attendees to connect with as many people and ideas as possible. A typical evening invites three community builders to share their journeys into building stronger communities and showcases the creativity of a local artist, while allowing attendees to connect with each other through fun and thought-provoking activities.

Why should I be a guest?

We want you as our guest because you have an interesting story to tell about your community, whether it is through your experience as a storyteller guest or through your art as a performing guest. We believe that by creating spaces where ideas and purpose connect, we inform and inspire purpose-driven people to make smarter decisions for their communities. Your experiences and art are something that makes that possible.

How does it work?

Appearing as a guest at Fuze Nights is simple. We’ve designed the delivery format to be simple so that your story sharing remains both fun for you and the audience. This makes it a pleasure to tell your story at Fuze Nights.

Storyteller Guests

Storyteller guests share their stories and experiences using the 25x5 presentation format. This means that each storyteller needs to engage the audience for 5 minutes using a maximum of 25 slides. It is up to each speaker to decide how many slides they want to use and how long each slide takes up, but there is a hard limit of 25 slides and 5 minutes.

Performing Guests

Performing guests have a 5-minute time slot to showcase their work. Given the variety of creative output, we don’t have a specific format that we follow for each performance but we ask that performers discuss with us what their requirements are.

5-minute Rule

We know that attention spans are short, so to keep everyone engaged, we ruthlessly enforce a 5-minute rule. It helps our storyteller guests too - no need to “fill time” with unnecessary information. However, we do urge you to practice your content so it stays within the time limit.

Audience Engagement

An important aspect of Fuze Nights is that everyone engages in conversations that matter, including guests and audience members. While we keep the “presentation” part short, we ask our guests to stay for the duration of the event so the audience can engage with you about your experiences. Each Fuze Night event lasts for 2 hours.
