HelloHelps is based on a simple premise that “hello” starts conversations that help people.

Launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, HelloHelps addresses listeners’ fears for the future by allowing them to pose their questions to expert guests from the social, private and public sector. Recorded as a live conversation between our host and the guest, the conversation is interspersed with questions that have been submitted by audience members. The live session is audio-only and made available as a podcast for download.

Why should I be a guest?

We are interested in having you on the show because your experience and knowledge can be a reassuring influence on people. In uncertain times, people are anxious to hear from people that can offer guidance rooted in expertise. We know that you don’t have all the answers, but as one of our guests on the show, you do have the ability to help by answering questions.

How does it work?

It’s as simple as having a conversation with our host. We use Zoom Webinar to host the session. As an audio-only session, you simply have a conversation with our host and our team will bring in appropriate audience questions during the conversation. If you get stuck on a question, our host and our team are there to help keep the conversation flowing.

After the show is broadcast live, we take the audio from the session, do a little bit of post edits to make sure everyone sounds clear and post the episode as a podcast.

How long does the recording session take?

The live segment of the show is 45 minutes but we’ll need you for at most 90 minutes so we can do pre- and post-setup for the show. During this time, we’ll need you to be free of distractions and be in a quiet environment.

We do need 30 minutes before the actual day of the recording to do a Soundcheck session to make sure you sound your best on the actual day of recording.
